KUBAN PARK

Commissioned by City of Phoenix Public Art. Budget: $950,000. Artist designed park with earthwork and perimeter fencing. A series of earth mounds were created for optical illusion and interest with perimeter fencing complimenting the overall motif. The goal of the project was to create a usable park in an underserved neighborhood that had not had a park before, with room for kids, families and exercise areas. The artists’ design is a series of three elliptical mounds bordered by a walking and biking path and landscaping. Large shade areas surround the perimeter of the park, with seating areas for families.
