BARBARA GRYGUTIS

Barbara Grygutis Sculpture LLC

Barbara Grygutis has been commissioned to create over 75 large-scale public art works in locations across the United States and beyond.  A 2016 book, Public Art/Public Space, features Barbara Grygutis’s work and is available from Amazon and other booksellers.  Grygutis was invited to exhibit in Venice, Italy during the 2018 Architecture Biennale.

Barbara Grygutis has received numerous awards.  These include a 2011 MASTERworks award from the New York Municipal Art Society for “Bronx River View,” a sculptural installation at Whitlock Station, MTA, New York; a 2010 national competition award from Hardscape North America and the Brick Industry Association for “Imaginary Garden” Cary, North Carolina; an award for Second Place in the International Quadrennial Competition in Faenza, Italy; and project awards and a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts.

In addition to her permanent public art installations, Grygutis’s work has been exhibited at The Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC; Socrates Sculpture Park, Long Island City, New York; The Bronx Museum, New York City; and The Parker Collections for the Vice-President’s House and the White House, both in Washington, DC.
